Bespoke Wilderness Therapy, Coaching, and Rites of Passage Programmes

Home » Scotland

Nature can be a powerful vehicle for
personal development and growth and our experience
tells us that when we are close to nature we are close
to our authentic selves.

By bringing people together, particularly in wild and remote places, we guide them towards a different perspective into the relationships they have with themselves and others.

Combining its power and beauty we have developed a unique wilderness therapy programme on the West Coast of Scotland giving an expedition, with a journey of the heart and mind with Person-Centred therapy training.

The Journey

The Journey

You are collected from Edinburgh Airport or train station and we journey together by Land Rover to a wilderness base on the stunning shores of West Scotland for 6 days of tranquillity, sleeping under canvas. Time will be spent walking, talking, exploring the coast and finding solutions to challenges and a new sense of direction and balance.

With a maximum group size of six, each journey is bespoke and includes some one to one sessions and group work.

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom. Viktor Frankl

Our Person-centred therapy

Is a humanistic approach that deals with the ways in which we perceive ourselves consciously, rather than how a therapist interprets our unconscious thoughts or ideas. Every difficult situation or crisis holds the potential to become an opportunity and can lead to a positive, if not exciting, journey of understanding and self-discovery.

It will help you to improve the relationship you have with yourself, and your relationships with others, and will point you towards a more fulfilling and balanced life.

Our Person-centred therapy

The Snowline Approach

to Wilderness Therapy
is informed by our unique background and experience.

We have worked with people from all walks of life at a national and international level, and have designed & facilitated personal development programmes for people from all ages and backgrounds. We have worked across the UK and beyond into developing countries. We have designed, taken part in, lived in, and led expeditions in Australia, New Zealand, Siberia, Alaska, Greenland, Scotland, Europe, Africa, and the Himalayas.

We are committed to supporting, enabling, and empowering young people and adults through the use of wild places, enabling a positive process of self-discovery, increased self-awareness, confidence, and personal growth.

Our clients come from a vast variety of backgrounds with a wide range of issues including people experiencing homelessness, parents and sons/ daughters experiencing difficulties with family relationships, or single parents. We often work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, loss, relationship challenges or abuse. We also specialise in parent and child relationships and teenage rites of passage into adult life.

Scotland
It is a profoundly invigorating and restorative personal journey, designed to enable individuals and staff teams to take stock, recharge and find inner balance, whilst also creating an opportunity to explore and define solutions to some of today’s toughest social challenges.
